I feel that my communication skills used for talking to individuals are very efficient. I have the skill to explain topics in many different ways. I have also learned different dialects and slang terms by travelling throughout the United States and different parts of the world. Taking foreign language classes would also be beneficial for the growing culturally diverse population in the United States. I would like to improve the way I speak to a large group. I feel that I can relate and communicate with people on an individual level easier. Volunteering to present in-services or teaching sessions at work would be an ideal starting strategy for improving my group speaking skills. Once comfortable with a departmental presentation, targeting a more diverse audience would be the next logical strategy to use. I would first take note of the key points needing to be conveyed to the target group.
